Addison, Texas-based United Surgical Partners International appointed Brett Brodnax CEO, effective immediately.

1. Mr. Brodnax previously served as USPI's president and chief development officer.
2. He succeeds Bill Wilcox, who will remain USPI's chairman and Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare's vice chairman.
3. Mr. Brodnax will report to Tenet Healthcare's CEO and Chairman Ron Rittenmeyer.
4. On Mr. Brodnax's appointment, Mr. Wilcox said, "Brett's appointment is well-deserved recognition of the great contributions and leadership he has provided to USPI during his nearly 20-year tenure."
