Seven percent of physicians were subject to some form of sexual harassment within the past three years, compared to 11 percent of nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants, according to Medscape.
Medscape surveyed 6,235 respondents across 29-plus specialties. Here are four statistics from Medscape's Sexual Harassment of Physicians: Report 2018:
1. Personally experienced sexual abuse, harassment or misconduct: 7 percent
2. Witnessed sexual abuse, harassment or misconduct: 14 percent
3. Was accused of sexual abuse, harassment or misconduct: 2 percent
4. None of the above: 80 percent
