The University of Louisville (Ky.) has named gastroenterologist Craig McClain, MD, associate vice president of health affairs/research, according to The Lane Report.
Dr. McLain also holds positions at the university including associate vice president for translational research, director of the Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute, director of research affairs in the gastroenterology division and director of gastroenterology.
Dr. McLain has been the recipient of multiple awards including:
• American Gastroenterological Association Foundation Research Mentoring Award
• Elizabeth Hurlock Beckman award for mentoring
• Grace A. Goldsmith Award in Nutrition
• University of Louisville Distinguished Faculty Award in Research for Basic and Applied Sciences
