Alexander R. A. Anderson, PhD, co-director of Integrative Mathematical Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center, Simon Hayward, PhD, at Vanderbilt University and Gustavo Ayala, MD, at Baylor College of Medicine, have received a five-year, $3 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to develop mathematical models to predict prostate cancer aggressiveness, according to a news release.
Using date from prostate cancer patients the researchers will create multi-scale mathematical models that capture the cell scale signaling and tissue scale morphology.
