Olympus, a medical and surgical products company, has announced that it has received FDA 510(k) clearance for its Articulating HD 3D Laparoscopic Surgical Video System, which is designed to improve accuracy by providing surgeons natural three-dimensional vision while performing laparoscopic procedures.
The video system, which will be displayed at the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopy Surgeons 2013 Annual Meeting to be held April 17-20 in Baltimore, is fully compatible with the Olympus EVIS EXERA III endoscopy system.
