Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, N.C., has broken ground on an expansion project that will include a new gastroenterology center, according to a news release.
Southeastern Health Park Phase I includes an 80,000-square-foot medical facility which features the GI center, a 13,000-square-foot ambulatory surgery center and an anesthesia/pain management center.
The Phase I medical facility will be funded, in part, by investments by physicians. The facility and purchase of the land is projected to cost upwards of about $22 million.
