Mansour Parsi, MD, has been appointed the Hyman Professor of Medicine and the chief of gastroenterology and hepatology in the college of medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, effective July 1.
Dr. Parsi will also serve as vice chair for clinical affairs in the department of medicine and medical director of the gastroenterology service line at Regional One Health in Memphis.
Previously, he was chief of gastroenterology and hepatology at Tulane University's School of Medicine in New Orleans and director of Cleveland Clinic's Center for Endoscopy and Pancreatic Disorders.
Dr. Parsi is a fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and a winner of the Research Excellence in Gastroenterology and Liver Award, presented to the top 20 most promising investigators in the field.
