Houston Academy of Medicine appointed Alan Glombicki, MD, as president, according to a Your Houston News report.
Here are four things to know:
1. Dr. Glombicki practices with Houston Digestive Diseases Consultants. He is an associate professor of clinical medicine at the Liver Transplant Unit in the Gastroenterology Section at University of Texas Medical School in Houston.
2. He is also a delegate to the Texas Medical Association, and a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
3. He is a founding president of the American Liver Foundation of Texas.
4. The Houston Academy of Medicine is the scientific and charitable organization of the Harris County Medical Society.
