Most patients with gastroesophagel reflux disease can successfully step down from twice-daily proton pump inhibitor therapy to a daily dose of dexlansoprazole modified release, according to an MD News report.
The study, published in the March issue of Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, found that 88 percent of patients who made the transition were able to keep their heartburn under control.
