GI Dynamics appointed Jim Murphy as CFO.

1. Mr. Murphy will also serve as the company's treasurer and secretary, effective immediately.
2. Mr. Murphy most recently served as CFO of OXiGENE, a drug discovery company, and CFO of HemaSure, a medical device company.
3. GI Dynamics is the developer of EndoBarrier, the first endoscopically delivered device therapy approved for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and obesity.
