Gastroenterologist Dr. Willard Gamble Dead at 79

Gastroenterologist Willard Selden "Denny" Gamble has died, according to a Post-Bulletin obituary.

 

Dr. Gamble was 79. He died June 6 in Rochester, N.Y.

 

Dr. Gamble completed his residency at the Maine Medical Center in Portland. He served as an assistant in gastroenterology at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston. From 1963 to 1967, he managed a private practice in Watertown, N.Y.

 

He was certified as a specialist in internal medicine in 1966 and as a specialist in gastroenterology in 1969. In 1969 he accepted a position at the Mayo Clinic, retiring from it in 1991.
