Gastroenterologist Somasundaram Bharath, MD, has been elected governor of the North Dakota chapter of the American College of Gastroenterology, according to an Indiawest.com report.
Dr. Bharath practices out of Altru Clinic in Devils Lake, N.D. He was elected for a three-year term.
Dr. Bharath received his MD from Madras University in India, according to his profile. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at University of Stony Brook (N.Y.), a gastroenterology fellowship at University of Stony Brook and a gastroenterology fellowship at Radcliffe Infirmary in England.
