Gastroenterologist Paul Gmuer, MD, was recently honored during a luncheon hosted by Saint Vincent Health System in Erie, Pa., according to a news release.
Dr. Gmuer retired in 2011 after serving on the Saint Vincent Medical Staff for 27 years, with a number of years as Saint Vincent's chief of gastroenterology, and practicing with Digestive Diseases of Northwest Pennsylvania.
He earned his MD from SUNY Brooklyn (N.Y.), completed his internal medicine residency at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Mass., and his gastroenterology training at the University of Massachusetts.
