Fecal Transplants Gaining Popularity

Using fecal transplants to treat Clostridium difficile is gaining popularity, according to a Scienceline report.

The data is encouraging: For the 325 cases treated with fecal transplants worldwide, almost 90 percent reported no relapse of C. difficile and no side effects. However, no randomized control trials have been done to test the treatment's efficacy. All studies up to this point have been observational.
