EndoChoice's Fuse System Cuts Down on Missed Colon Adenomas, Study Shows

EndoChoice released research backing the FDA-approved Fuse system as a more accurate method for preventing colorectal cancer and reducing the number of adenomas missed by colonoscopists.
EndoChoice revealed its study at the Digestive Disease Week meeting this past May.

The Fuse system uses three small cameras at the tip of a flexible endoscope. The three cameras are designed to give physicians twice as much visibility as a traditional endoscope.

A trial of 185 patients found 42 percent of adenomas were missed by traditional colonscopes and just 8 percent were missed by the Fuse.
