Scott Cunneen, MD, director of bariatric surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, published his book, Weighty Issues: Getting the Skinny on Weight Loss Surgery, this week, according to a news release.
The book addresses some of the most common questions patients ask about weight loss surgeries. Dr. Cunneen outlines each procedure as well as the responsibilities of the patient to comply with changes required to make the operations work.
"It's a huge, lifelong commitment as well as a complete change of lifestyle with regard to one's relationship with food, a very powerful relationship for most of us," he said in the release.
