Micro-Tech Endoscopy released its Napoleon measuring device, a ruler that sits next to a lesion during a colonoscopy to allow for more accurate polyp measurements, dbusiness reports.
The ruler will prevent endoscopists from overestimating or underestimating polyp size by using endoscopic visualization alone.
Company President Chris Li said, "It takes away the guesswork and allows [physicians] to feel more comfortable with polyp size assessment and surveillance interval recommendations especially during training."
