Capital Digestive Care implements gGastro Cloud — 5 insights

Washington, D.C.-based Capital Digestive Care deployed gMed's cloud-based EHR system, gGastro Cloud.

Here's what you should know:

1. The software allows Capital Digestive Care to use a single platform for the management of clinical, financial and operational data.

2. The group has saved $320,000 by deploying the EHR software to date, $200,000 in hardware savings and $120,000 in annual savings.

3. It took gMed 24 hours to switch the practice from its existing gGastro platform to the gGastro Cloud platform.

4. A team of technical specialists at gMed manage the platform, allowing Capital Digestive Care to dedicate its engineers to other technical areas in the practice.

5. Physicians have access to the gGastro Cloud application anywhere there is an internet connection.

Capital Digestive Care President and CEO Michael Weinstein, MD, said, "As president, I value saving money and improving operations, but as a physician I need to care for my patients. Since switching to gGastro Cloud, we noticed significant improvements in consistency and speed. I also like having the reassurance that if a problem does arise, it's going to be fixed within a few minutes, not a few hours."
