A new initiative of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy has released its first report on diminutive colorectal polyps, according to an ASGE report.
Members of the initiative, Preservation and Incorporation of Valuable Endoscopic Innovations, issued the report "Real-Time Endoscopic Assessment of the Histology of Diminutive Colorectal Polyps."
The PIVI initiative is designed to establish diagnostic and therapeutic thresholds for endoscopic technologies that could resolve clinical questions regarding endoscopy. ASGE promotes the use of technologies that meet PIVI standards.
