The American Gastroenterological Association launched its GI Patient Center to offer patients trusted and unbiased information on a variety of GI conditions and procedures.
Here's what you should know.
1. The center was previously only accessible by AGA member physicians. It's now open to the public.
2. All the resources in the patient center were written and reviewed by leading gastroenterologists.
3. The center has information on more than 30 common conditions available in both Spanish and English.
AGA Association GI Patient Center Physician Advisor J. Sumner Bell, MD, said, "Gastroenterology touches everyone — from constipation and diarrhea to heartburn to colorectal cancer screening to liver diseases. The AGA GI Patient Center provides a wealth of information to educate and empower patients to take control of their digestive health."
