The American Gastroenterological Association has released new guidelines for inducing and maintaining remission in Crohn's disease.
The guidelines are designed to assist physicians in deciding among immunomodular monotherapy, anti-TNF- α monotherapy and combination therapy.
The guideline was published in the December issue of Gastroenterology.
The AGA also offers a new decision support tool.
The guidelines were presented by David Weinberg, MD, MSc, AGAF, chair of the AGA Institute Clinical Practice and Quality Management Committee.
