8 Recent Gastroenterologists Moves & Honors

Here are eight recent gastroenterologists stepping into new roles or receiving honorable recognitions.

Paris (Ill.) Community Hospital/Family Medical Center has added gastroenterologists Andrew Batey, MD, and Jeffrey Hallett, MD.

Ram Chuttani, MD, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center's director of interventional gastroenterology and endoscopy, has been elected to the medical center's trustee advisory board.

R. Adam Noel, MD, a pediatric gastroenterologist with the Louisiana State Health Sciences Center New Orleans School of Medicine, has received the American Academy of Pediatrics 2013 Outstanding Achievement Award.

Murtaza Parekh, MD, of Raleigh (N.C.) Endoscopy Center, has received an American College of Gastroenterology Auxiliary Award at the ACG Annual Scientific Meeting.

M. Babitha Reddy, DO, now practices as the newly opened Mercy Clinic Family Medicine in O'Fallon, Mo.

In October, the American College of Gastroenterology elected Harry Eugene Sarles, Jr., MD, as its 2013-2014 president. Dr. Sarles is a private practice gastroenterologist with Digestive Health Associates of Texas in Dallas.

Ana Tuyama, MD, has joined the gastroenterology section of Greenwich (Conn.) Hospital. Dr. Tuyama also maintains a practice in White Plains, Conn.
