From technology acquisitions to new practices, here are eight partnerships and acquisitions to know that Becker's has reported on so far in 2024:
- Gastro Health, which has locations across Florida, Alabama, Washington, Virginia, Ohio, Maryland and Massachusetts, finalized a partnership with Gastroenterology and Nutrition Specialists in Orlando, Fla.
- Global manufacturer and distributor Cardinal Health acquired Specialty Networks, a technology-enabled group purchasing and practice enhancement organization whose partners include UroGPO, Gastrologix and GastroGPO and United Rheumatology.
- Gastroenterology management organization GI Alliance partnered with Ambience Healthcare to build a suite of artificial intelligence documentation tools, specifically for gastroenterology.
- Atlantic, Iowa-based Cass Health partnered with Omaha, Neb.-based Midwest Gastrointestinal Associates to bring two GI specialists to Cass.
- St. Petersburg-based Florida Digestive Health Specialists added ambulatory cloud EHR eClinicalWorks' AI tools and virtual scribe Sunoh.ai to assist with patient information charting and streamlined workflows.
- GI Alliance partnered with three practices in Rhode Island, further expanding its presence in the Northeast and marking its first locations in the state.
- West Long Branch, N.J.-based gastroenterology group Allied Digestive Health partnered with Provation, a software company that focuses on clinical productivity and workflow automation.
- Medical data intelligence platform Lynx.MD formed a partnership with Allied Digestive Health, a leading GI practice with over 60 locations in New York and New Jersey, to expand its GI data library.
