Six gastroenterologists recently were featured in the news:
- Chef and professor of medicine Timothy Harlan, MD, is taking his talents to Washington, D.C., where he'll start a culinary medicine program at George Washington University. He said the culinary medicine program is used to educate healthcare providers on how to work with patients to eat foods that focus on nutrition and health.
- Milford, Del.-based Bayhealth Gastroenterology-Sussex Campus added Vineet Gudsoorkar, MD, and Shruti Patel, MD, to its staff.
- Raymond DuBois, MD, PhD, and Anil Rustgi, MD, were elected to the National Academy of Medicine for their research into GI cancers.
