4 things to know about Healthmark's Endoscope Cleaning Brush

Healthmark Industries unveiled its Endoscope Cleaning Brush CC-025-600 as an addition to its GI product line.

Here are four things to know:

1. Providers often unintentionally discard endoscope reusable brushes, which often are costly. Therefore, Healthmark designed the single-use 6 mm diameter brush as an alternate option for flexible endoscopes that have a diameter between 2.0 mm and 3.2 mm.

2. Depending on the type of endoscope, providers can use the Endoscope Cleaning Brush to brush inside of the control section's suction channel, the instrument channel junction, the forceps/irrigation plug, the luer-split and the inside of the suction and biopsy valves.

3. The brush's nylon bristle tips connect to a stainless-steel wire. The wire then connects to white thermoplastic tubing, allowing sufficient debris removal.

4.  Healthmark devised the Endoscope Cleaning Brush to remove debris without damaging the scope.
