New York University Langone Health opened a new, comprehensive IBD center for adults with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, according to a Dec. 22 news release.
Here are three things to know:
1. The outpatient center is 12,500 square feet, has nine exam rooms and a six-bay infusion center.
2. The center has the capacity to care for more than 100 patients daily.
3. Services offered include colon and rectal surgery consultations and infusion treatments.
"We’ve always offered multidisciplinary care for our patients with IBD, taking care of both their physical and mental wellbeing," David Hudesman, MD, associate professor of medicine and co-director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center said in the release. "Our new center enables us to provide world-class care in a convenient setting with staff who understand the nuances of treating IBD."
