Nurses are increasingly turning to smartphones and apps to aid in daily medical practice management, according to a study published in the Online Journal of Nursing Informatics.
In a survey of nearly 1,100 nurses conducted by Springer Publishing, 75 percent owned a smartphone or tablet, and 66 percent within that group owned an iPhone or iPad device. Among the most popular apps are drug reference guides and databases providing drug, disease and safety information.
