William R. Thornton, MD, FACS, has joined the San Antonio Eye Center.
Dr. Thornton has a special interest in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. The practice has eight ophthalmologists and two optometrists and surgeries are performed at their outpatient surgical facility, the San Antonio Eye Surgicenter.
Dr. Thornton earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch of Galveston and served as a USAF Flight Surgeon during the Vietnam War. He has been recognized for his expertise in the management of orbital fractures with facial trauma and the restoration of complications of eye surgery and congenital conditions of children.
