Seton Healthcare Family appointed Fausto Meza, MD, to vice president of medical affairs for the company's south region in Hays, Caldwell and Bastrop, Texas counties, according to Austin Business Journal.
Here are four notes:
1. Dr. Meza previously served as chief medical officer at Resolute Health.
2. He will provide leadership at Seton Medical Center Hays in Kyle, Texas; Seton Edgar B. Davis Hospital in Luling, Texas; and Seton Smithville (Texas) Regional Hospital.
3. Dr. Meza, a board-certified internal and geriatric medicine physician, received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
4. He established the Garcia Leadership and Advocacy Seminar, which trains Latino medical students, and Frontera de Salud, which provides services to underserved communities in Texas.
