Manager of training and development for AmSurg Jade Sampson is beginning her final year of a three-year term on the Nashville Young Leaders Council board of directors.

1. Ms. Sampson completed the YCL training program in 2012 and joined the board of directors as an intern for the YWCA.
2. The program is designed to train young people to effectively participate on non-profit organization boards. The program includes 11 training sessions addressing board skills.
3. Ms. Sampson is responsible for developing and maintaining AmSurg's plans, creating and managing the training budget, overseeing the curriculum and facilitating the training programs. She also assists in HR program management.
4. She has previous experience as director of business development at BMed Global and created ad campaigns and marketing materials as a program coordinator at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
5. She volunteers with the Junior League of Nashville and has served on the board of directors for the Morning Star Sanctuary.
