A new report from Reaction Data found that around 16 percent of ambulatory facilities plan to leave their current EHR vendor.
The survey included 889 participants, around 57 percent of which were in ambulatory facilities. The current vendors for the ambulatory participants include:
1. Epic: 22 percent
2. Allscripts: 9 percent
3. eClinicalWorks: 8 percent
4. Cerner: 6 percent
5. athenahealth: 5 percent
6. Nextgen: 5 percent
7. Practice Fusion: 5 percent
8. Greenway: 4 percent
9. GE Healthcare: 3 percent
10. None: 3 percent
The top vendors winning the replacement business for ambulatory and acute care facilities are Epic, with 33 percent, and Cerner, with 18 percent. Among the companies primarily catered toward ambulatory facilities, current customers were happiest with:
1. Practice Fusion: 70 percent
2. eClinicalWorks: 53 percent
3. athenahealth: 50 percent
4. GE: 47 percent
5. Meditech: 40 percent
6. Nextgen: 25 percent
7. Allscripts: 18 percent
8. Greenway: 16 percent
Of note, Allscripts signed an agreement to acquire Practice Fusion in a $100 million deal, expected to close later this year.
