Salem, Ore.-based Hope Orthopedics is leading the way in outpatient orthopedic joint replacement in the state of Oregon, the Statesman Journal reports. Here's what you need to know.
1. The facility has performed more than 100 hip and knee replacement surgeries.
2. The center has been well received by its patients. It has a 98 percent satisfaction rate, and 99 percent of its patient base would "recommend the experience to a family member or friend considering outpatient joint replacement," Dan Sewell, MD, said.
3. Hope Orthopedics began its program in 2014.
4. The centers patients can walk short distances before they even leave the surgery center.
