Virginia Hospital Center has paid $21.5 million to acquire a six-story office property in Alexandria, Va., for use as an ASC and medical office building, according to a Nov. 7 report from the Commercial Observer.
The 145,000-square-foot building sold to VHC for 43% less than what the seller paid back in 2018, which was $37.8 million.
By 2023, the assessed value of the property fell from $34.4 million to $25.9 million, according to the report.
VHC currently has 20 other office locations in the area.
Currently, the property sales and investment market in the area is low, with sales coming in at $922 million in the third quarter, down from $3 billion in the same quarter in 2019.
