In a joint venture with United Surgical Partners International, Saint Thomas Health plans to build an ambulatory surgical treatment center. The surgery center's estimated cost exceeds $16 million.
Compass Surgical Partners teamed up with Stuart, Fla.-based Martin Health System and local physicians to open Port Lucie, Fla.-based Tradition Surgery Center. Tradition Surgery Center will offer general surgery, gynecology, urology, podiatry and gastroenterology.
CNBC reports Tenet Healthcare Corp., is no longer for sale, following the departure of CEO Trevor Fetter. CNBC reported the news on information provided by two anonymous sources that were "close to the matter."
Hospital Corporation of America shares fell 8.8 percent during the week of Oct. 23 to Oct. 27, trading at $13.37 per share.
