Sutter Health, based in Sacramento, Calif., has opened a new surgery center in Elk Grove, Calif., according to an Elk Grove Patch report.
The health system broke ground on the surgery center a little more than a year ago. It is expected to perform about 1,200 procedures in its two operating rooms during its first year of operations.
The surgery center will perform procedures in several specialties including ENT, orthopedics and general surgery.
Sutter Health approved $10.8 million for the facility in November 2010, according to earlier reports.
