Surgery Partners appoints new executive & more — 6 ASC company key notes

Here are six updates on ASC management companies to note:

Surgery Partners appointed R. David Kretschmer chief strategy and transformation officer as well as interim CFO.

HCA Healthcare added just two ASCs in 2017 and plans to continue spending more on inpatient rather than outpatient line growth over the next year. For the full year, same-facility outpatient surgeries dropped 1.3 percent, while same-facility inpatient cases were up 0.3 percent.

Medical Facilities Corp. completed its acquisition of seven ASCs for $46.5 million through its joint venture with Leawood, Kan.-based NueHealth.

Srinivas Bollimpalli, MD, will be Envision Physician Services' vice president of pain management. Dr. Bollimpalli most recently served at Valley Anesthesiology and Pain Consultants in Phoenix, where he practiced for 18 years.

Stock market analysts anticipate MedEquities Realty Trust will report full-year 2019 earnings of $1.23 per share.

Downers Grove, Ill. -based Inland Real Estate Acquisitions purchased a 29,702-square-foot medical office building in Salt Lake City that houses Eye Institute of Utah as well as SurgiCare Center of Utah.
