Landmark Surgery Center relocated from Saint Paul, Minn., to Woodbury, Minn., on Sept. 23 to accommodate growth and improve accessibility.
Five key insights:
1. The ASC, which is operated by Woodbury-based Summit Orthopedics, had been at its Saint Paul location since being established in 1995.
2. Landmark Surgery Center now occupies the entire second floor of a Woodbury building that houses two other tenants.
3. The Woodbury center has three operating rooms, one combined OR and procedure suite, and 18 preoperative and postoperative patient bays.
4. Landmark Surgery Center's new space was designed based on the patient and staff experience at Summit's Vadnais Heights (Minn.) Surgery Center and Eagan (Minn.) Surgery Center.
5. Summit's 10 hand specialists practice out of Landmark Surgery Center, along with several pain intervention specialists. They will provide nonsurgical spine injection services at the new location while continuing to offer treatment for hand and upper extremity conditions.
