Thomas Izquierdo, MD, Azeem Khan, MD, and Frontier Healthcare partnered to open the Queens (N.Y.) Boulevard Endoscopy Center, which received approval from the New York Department of Health on March 21.
The 10,000-square-foot, five-room center, which holds six preoperative bays and 10 recovery bays, expects to have an annual case load of 15,000 patients.
Dr. Izquierdo and Dr. Khan introduced the project in 2010. The center began operations on March 25.
