Here are 10 updates on ASC companies and industry-relevant companies to note: 

The Department of Justice filed a lawsuit against an Orlando-based urologist and the outpatient surgery center where he performed procedures over alleged anti-kickback violations. Read more. 

St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee, Minn., dedicated $44 million to build a new surgery center and expand its emergency room and cancer center.

Atlanta-based Northside Hospital wants to build a 22,500-square-foot surgery center inside its Braselton, Ga., location. 

Charlotte, N.C.-based Novant Health could develop medical offices on a lot in Charlotte, pending city approval.

White Plains (N.Y.) Hospital plans to offer ambulatory surgical services at a proposed $10.1 million clinic.

Nebraska Eye Associates has been acquired by ophthalmology and refractive surgery center owner and operator Vance Thompson Vision.
