Contractors building a new surgery center for East Texas Medical Center-Crockett are projecting a November completion date for the project, according to an East Texas News report.
ETMC-Crockett's administrator shared this news with the Houston County Hospital District board of directors, which requested monthly updates on the surgery project last year.
ETMC-Crockett is receiving funding for the project through, in part, a $1 million investment of tax dollars approved by the board. For every $1 the board allocates into an account for the project, it is matched by $1.50 through an Upper Payment Limit program.
At the time of the administrator's report, construction on the surgery center was said to be about 20 percent complete.
