The ASC, Surgical Institute of Monroe, will be part of a $6 million complex that will include four ORs, physician offices and ancillary services.
Up to 16 physicians will affiliate with the new, 13,500-square-foot surgery center, which will offer specialties including urology, ENT, orthopedics, pain management, podiatry, gynecology and ophthalmology, according to the report.
The surgery center is being created by Smithfield Medical Development, a California firm which partnered with local physicians and received the certificate of need for the facility.
