A new ophthalmic ambulatory surgery center in Honolulu is scheduled to open in November, according a Honolulu Star-Advertiser report.
The Eye Surgery Center of Hawaii is part of an $8-million eye care campus at Dole Cannery Shops in Iwilei, according to earlier reports. The ASC is expected to have the capacity to perform up to 20,000 eye surgeries annually.
The ASC is being opened by Skai Ventures, a local venture capital firm. The company is partnering with 13 local ophthalmologists.
