Meridian Surgical Partners has announced the opening of a new spine-focused ambulatory surgery center in Dallas, according to a news release from Meridian Surgical Partners.
Institute for Minimally Invasive Surgery (IMIS) was founded through a partnership between Meridian Surgical Partners and local surgeons specializing in orthopedic spine surgery, neurosurgery and pain management.
IMIS provides minimally invasive spine surgery and spine pain management and interventional procedures.
The 9,255-square-foot-facility has two operating suites and one procedure room. It is equipped with advanced equipment and technology including intra-operative 3D imaging and the O-arm Spine Surgical Imaging System with StealthStation Navigation.
"Opening IMIS is a significant milestone for Meridian Surgical Partners for a few reasons," said David F. "Buddy" Bacon Jr., CEO for Meridian Surgical Partners, in the release. "This marks our fourth de novo facility to open since our founding in 2006 and our fourth spine-focused ASC partnership to date. Additionally, it fulfills our physician partners' vision of providing patients with minimally invasive spine surgery and pain management procedures in a new state-of-the-art outpatient setting. We anticipate IMIS to become a market leader in minimally invasive spine surgery."
