Maine's Boothbay Harbor Hospital to Cease Outpatient Surgery Services

St. Andrews Hospital & Healthcare in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, has proposed ceasing all outpatient surgical care by next April, according to a Maine Public Broadcasting Network report.

The hospital will also convert its emergency department into an urgent care facility. Outpatient surgery services were discontinued a few months ago. The hospital expects that ceasing inpatient and outpatient care at the hospital will result in the loss of approximately 25 jobs.
