Indiana's Memorial Health Systems Plans Clinic With Outpatient Surgery Rooms

South Bend, Ind.-based Memorial Health Systems presented plans for a 50,000-square- foot, $18 million outpatient clinic to the Valparaiso Site Review Committee on Tuesday, according to a NWI Times report.

The project would house physician offices, labs, outpatient surgery rooms and other patient care facilities. The site was acquired more than three years ago from PATKO, and the outpatient building is expected to be the first phase of development of the site. The system plans to follow the construction of the outpatient center with other developments, including hospital expansion and construction of labs and living space for physicians and patient families.

Memorial plans to start the project in August. The plan is expected to gain approval in June so Memorial can begin construction in late summer.
