Detroit-based Henry Ford Health is targeting the outpatient space as a major growth area, Crain's Detroit Business reports.

1. The health system is planning two outpatient medical centers in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., and in Macomb County, Mich.
2. Henry Ford President and COO Bob Riney said, "We recently went through a refresh of strategic plan[s] and reaffirmed that we have geographic gaps and capacity issues in ambulatory and clinical areas in multiple markets. We have a multi-year plan to address this."
3. Henry Ford has 28 medical centers in Southeast Michigan that offer outpatient services. The system also has more than 60 clinical offices.
