Poudre Valley Health System, based in Fort Collins, Colo., has broken ground on a new ambulatory surgery center in Greeley, according to a news release and Northern Colorado 5 report.
The ASC will be included in a new 22,000-square-foot facility. In addition to the same-day surgery center, the facility will include an emergency care center.
The surgery center will feature two operating rooms. Outpatient surgery services will be offered for select general and elective surgeries in the areas of endoscopy, gastroenterology, orthopedics and urology. Other outpatient surgeries will be added as needs arise, according to the hospital.
The facility, which has an estimated cost of $15 million, is scheduled to open in November 2012.
