A new outpatient surgery center is included in a $250 million expansion of Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas, according to a Fort Worth Business Press report.
The expansion, named the Dodson Specialty Clinics building, will house 18 new pediatric subspecialty clinics, and will include the surgery center, a cancer center, heart center and neuroscience.
The Dodson Surgery Center will be dedicated to pediatric patients needing outpatient procedures such as eyes, ENT, minor orthopedics and general surgery, according to a Cook Children's report. It includes six operating suites for outpatient procedures, including two eye surgery suites.
