Beloit (Wis.) Health System has postponed its hearing with the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board over its proposed ambulatory surgery center expansion project in Illinois, according to a report from the Beloit Daily News.
Earlier this year, the Review Board cast a split vote on whether to approve Beloit's proposal to construct a $16.3 million ASC at the Roscoe, Ill.-based NorthPointe Health and Wellness campus. In its reworking of the original proposal, the health system cut the cost of the facility down by about $1 million.
The health system was scheduled to present its revised proposal Oct. 7, but it has decided to postpone its hearing, as some of the project supporters would have been unable to attend the Oct. 7 date. In addition, some supporting resolutions from the community for the project would not have been ready in time for the hearing, according to the report.
