Sheridan, AmSurg's physician services division, acquired California-based Fidere Anesthesia Consultants.
Here are five things to know:
1. Fidere Anesthesia Consultants has 38 physicians spanning seven facilities that provide both inpatient and outpatient anesthesia services.
2. Through the acquisition, AmSurg is expanding its presence and anesthesiology services business in Northern California.
3. Fidere Anesthesia Consultants practice offers services to various ambulatory surgery centers in Silicon Valley as well as El Camino Hospital System in Mountain View, Calif.
4. AmSurg's Sheridan also owns Medical Anesthesia Consultants, another practice in Northern California.
5. As of June 30, 2016, AmSurg owned and operated 258 ASCs and one surgical hospital in 34 states and Washington, D.C.
